Sega Genesis Triple Bypass

The Sega Genesis is notorious for noisy audio and video output. The Triple Bypass mod addresses both of these things.

The Triple Bypass board bypasses the Genesis's audio and video circuits entirely, pulling clean RGB directly from the VDP through a THS7374 video amplifier and routing audio through an integrated Mega Amp 2.0 circuit tuned to match the output of the best Model 1 consoles. The result is dramatically cleaner video with no jailbars and audio quality that meets or exceeds a stock Model 1 — on any model Genesis.

Note: A standard Triple Bypass install will disable composite video output. The AV port will output RGB and csync only. If you want CVBS restore, you must provide a compatible board, such as Zaxour's V2+.

Compatible with: Genesis Model 1, Genesis Model 2, Genesis Model 3, and Mega Drive variants. CDX installs are available but require a custom quote — please submit a quote request form before ordering.

Board versions: The standard install uses the Triple Bypass V2 board, which is included in the service price. If you prefer the V2+ or 4BP board variant, you must source and provide that board yourself — labor pricing remains the same.
