Shipping and Send In Policy
How It Works Captain Retro Mods operates on a pay-on-completion model. No payment is collected at checkout. After placing your order, you will receive shipping instructions and any applicable payment details via email within 1-2 business days. Please do not ship your console until you receive those instructions.
Send-In Instructions For all modification and recap services, you are responsible for shipping your console to us. You may use any carrier of your choice. Ship all consoles to:

Pack your console securely — nothing should move inside the package when shaken. Include your order number on a piece of paper inside the box. Send the console only — no games, controllers, cables, or peripherals. Do not use signature confirmation delivery.
Insurance Requirement Shipping insurance is required for all inbound shipments. Please insure your package for the replacement value of the console. Captain Retro Mods is not liable for loss or damage that occurs during inbound shipping. We insure all outbound shipments on our end.
Outbound Shipping All completed orders are shipped via USPS. Shipping times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Once your order is handed off to the carrier, Captain Retro Mods is not responsible for delays, lost packages, or damage in transit. If you have a shipping concern after your order has been shipped, please contact the carrier directly with your tracking number.
Return Shipping For valid warranty repairs, Captain Retro Mods covers return shipping. For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Turnaround Time Standard turnaround time for mod and recap services is 2-6 weeks from the date we receive your console. This is an estimate only and is subject to change based on parts availability, order backlog, and service complexity.
Geographic Restrictions We only accept orders from the United States and its territories. We do not ship internationally at this time.
