Sega Dreamcast HDMI Mod

The Dreamcast natively outputs VGA, making it one of the better-connected consoles of its era — but connecting to a modern display still requires adapters and introduces potential signal degradation. An internal HDMI mod changes that entirely, delivering a true digital-to-digital signal directly to your TV with no external adapters needed.

The latest option is the Pixel FX GEM kit. Captain Retro will also install older DC Digital kits.

⚠️ Compatibility Notice: Most HDMI kits are compatible with VA0 and VA1 Dreamcast motherboards only. Please verify your board revision before purchasing a kit.

The mod board required for this service is not included in the service price and must be sourced separately by the customer.
