PlayStation XStation Install

The xStation is an optical drive emulator (ODE) that replaces your PlayStation's aging CD drive with a microSD card slot, allowing you to load your game library directly from an SD card. It functions identically to the original drive with accurate timing, region-free operation built in, and load times that are slightly faster than a healthy disc drive.

⚠️ Compatibility Notice: The xStation is compatible with SCPH-100x, SCPH-300x, SCPH-5xxx, and early SCPH-700x series consoles with PU-8 or PU-18 motherboards. Some early PU-8 boards are not compatible — the only way to confirm is to open the console and check the board number. Boards ending in -11 are not compatible; boards ending in -21, -22, -23, or -41 are. The PSone and late SCPH-700x models are not supported.

Note: Installation of the xStation requires removal of any existing modchip. 

The mod board required for this service is not included in the service price and must be sourced separately by the customer.
