No-cut (PCB trace cuts, shell preserved) or multiout with shell cutting. Leave blank for no-cut default.

The Tim Worthington NES RGB mod installs a dedicated RGB board, unlocking true RGB output alongside S-Video and composite — delivering the sharpest picture possible from Nintendo's classic hardware. Installation details vary by console model, so read carefully before sending your console in.

AV Famicom The AV Famicom already has a SNES-style multiout port, making this the cleanest installation of any NES variant. No shell cutting required.

NES Front Loader A SNES-style multiout is added to the console, providing composite, S-Video, and RGB output. Shell cutting is required to mount the multiout port.

NES Top Loader A SNES-style multiout is added to the console, providing composite, S-Video, and RGB output. A 3D Printed housing is used to accomodate the multiout. No shell cutting required.

Sharp Twin Famicom Two installation options are available. The no-cut option routes video through the existing 8-pin DIN while preserving the original shell (requires cutting traces on the PCB). Alternatively, a SNES-style multiout can be added with minor shell cutting. Use the Installation Preference field on this page to indicate your preferred option. If no preference is noted, we will default to the no-cut install.

Famicom The Famicom installation uses a new Power/AV board that aligns with existing openings in the shell. Minor filing is required to fully accommodate the new ports. Output is provided via an 8-pin Mini-DIN and a 3.5mm audio jack. No SNES-style multiout is used on this model.

Compatible with: All revisions of the NES Front Loader, NES Top Loader, AV Famicom, Famicom, and Sharp Twin Famicom.
