Game Boy Pocket IPS Screen Install

The original Game Boy Pocket shipped with a dim, unlit reflective screen that was nearly impossible to see without direct light. An IPS LCD upgrade replaces it entirely with a modern backlit display with adjustable brightness — making your Game Boy Pocket playable anywhere, in any lighting condition.

Captain Retro will not provide the IPS kit for this install. Handhelds have multiple choices for screen replacements, which all require different installation methods and shell replacements.

We will also install any additional mods you provide (such as a rechargeable battery or power cleaner). All included in the price.

The mod board required for this service is not included in the service price and must be sourced separately by the customer.
