3DO Retro GEM HDMI Install

The Retro GEM from PixelFX adds lag-free digital HDMI output to the 3DO. Its firmware updates over WiFi.

Basic vs. Shiny Edition

• Basic: native direct video. A good fit if you already own an external scaler.
• Shiny: adds advanced scaling and video filters.

A Basic can be upgraded to Shiny at any time, even after installation, from PixelFX or through the kit's on-screen menu.

Board sourcing cost (if Captain Retro sources your kit):

• Basic GEM: $140
• Shiny GEM: $200

The mod board required for this service is not included in the base price. You may source the board yourself or we can source it for you. Pricing reflects the selected option.

Dependent on parts availability. If you choose to have us source the board, your order depends on current supplier stock. If the board isn't available right away, we'll contact you with the expected wait and your options before moving forward.
